CHULO has partnered with several venues and organizations to hold small fundraisers throughout the fall season.

1. Boxers NYC, a premiere sports bar and restaurant catering to the LGBTQ community with three locations in NYC, has partnered with CHULO for its Escuela Fridays party in their Washington Heights location on 3280 Broadway at West 159th Street. Every Friday from October 18 to December 6 from 10 pm to Midnight, CHULO will be working with promoteer @salxclusive and @boxerswahi to raise money for Trinity Place Shelter. We'll be holding raffles and selling calendars and CHULOs. On some nights, the dancers will be rocking CHULOs, too.

2. On Thursdays, CHULO will be working with famed Latino promoter @yamilx to sell the 2020 CHULO Underwear Poster Calendar where all profits are donated to organizations providing college scholarships to Latino young people. Dancers will be wearing CHULOs, too, every Thursday at @ritznewyork, 369 West 46th Street, on the famed Restaurant Row in Midtown. CHULO will be there from November 7 to December 19.

3. On Saturday November 16, CHULO again sponsors the NY Transgender Bodybuilding Federation NY Regional Competition at Wow Cafe from 2 to 6 pm.

4. On Wednesday, November 27, CHULO again partners with @yamilx to raise $ for marginalized youth at Yamil's HUGE Thanksgiving Eve party at Soho Park, 832 8th Ave at West 50th Street.

Gold medalist boxer Nisa Rodriguez headlines the CHULO Underwear SS 2020 NY Fashion Week Charity Runway Show, Sat, Sep 7, 2019, 8 pm, at El Maestro Boxing Club, 1300 Southern Blvd. in the Bronx. All proceeds will be donated to two amazing youth boxing programs: Team Go Get It and El Maestro. With special appearances by b-girl pioneer Ana Rokafella Garcia and body artist Karen Adeva. The event will open with live bomba music.

In honor of World Pride NYC and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, CHULO Underwear is donating its profits during Pride Month to safe havens providing emergency shelter and transitional housing for homeless LGBTQgnc/nb youth.

The annual 116th Street Festival in New York City is a celebration of community and culture and is billed as the largest street festival in NYC, spanning 28 blocks. With a focus on Puerto Rican heritage but open to all, the one-day festival features three stages of national touring acts and homegrown talent in the genres of hip hop, dance and traditional Hispanic music. Additional attractions include over 200 exhibitors, celebrity appearances, interactive demos, authentic cuisine and shopping.

CHULO will be premiering its new Puerto Rican RESISTANCE snapbacks and boxer briefs in black and white. Proceeds will benefit sustainable farming programs in Puerto Rico. CHULO Underwear in conjunction with Yamil X Productions is honored to present its F/W 2019 NY Fashion Week Runway Show as a Benefit for Transgender/Cisgender Young Women Victims of Violence who need emergency shelter and housing. The event will take place on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at the popular new venue, Club Loft 51, 627 West 51st Street off Twelfth Avenue, New York City 10019.

This super sexy show will be a celebration of culture and charity, and it will continue the CHULO tradition of giving back to the community. Hosted by acclaimed poetic performer Caridad De La Luz aka “La Bruja” and Lee Soulja, the father of Black Pride and one of the stars of the show, POSE, the February 7th CHULO Underwear NYFW benefit will feature a full runway show as well as vending, raffles, live performances, celebrity models, sweets and treats. The after-party begins immediately at 10:30, and is hosted by Club 51

Funds raised via ticketing and vending will be shared by shelters and transitional housing programs in New York City and Puerto Rico that provide emergency services to transgender/cisgender young women who are victims of violence. The recipients will be Princess Janae House in the Bronx, Trinity House in Upper Manhattan and Proyecto Matria in Puerto Rico.

The VIP meet-and-greet commences at 7:30 pm. General admission starts at 8:30 pm. The event concludes at 11 pm.

Please note: there is no such thing as fashionably late at any CHULO event. All programming begins and ends on time. If you are late, you will miss much of the show.

CHULO Underwear and the Stonewall Inn have partnered to create this cheeky fundraiser during Puerto Rican Heritage Month to benefit Proyecto Matria (www.proyectomatria.org) in Puerto Rico.

Proyecto Matria supports the development and self-sufficiency of Puerto Rican women through the offer of housing alternatives and integral services in areas such as education, psychosocial support, the incubation of micro-enterprises and the offer of micro-credit services, so that women can overcome situations of violence and discrimination based on gender and can exercise their right to a life free of violence and full of individual achievements.

To celebrate the event, owners Niki and Shaokao Cheng reached out to their friend, celebrity journalist Michael Musto, to host an evening of festivities.

Michael reached out to his dear colleague, Mickey Boardman, the Editorial Director of Paper Magazine, and to the CHULO Underwear brand, and an amazing opening party full of festivities, fashion, fun and fundraising was born!

Calligaris is pleased to present the official NYFW show for CHULO Underwear. Michael Musto and Mickey Boardman will be your celebrity hosts in a night dedicated to good people having a good time while doing good things for others. The night includes refreshments, music, great conversation, shopping, socializing, a silent auction, and lots of laughs.

Beautiful boys in CHULO Underwear will also be selling raffle tickets to raise money for charity. First prize is a dinner date with the super sexy Michael Musto and the superbly studly, Mickey Boardman. Second prize is a gift bag of items from Calligaris. Proceeds raised will be donated to CITTA whose work brings health, education and economic development to women in impoverished regions. Because of the plethora of vendors, CHULO will only be participating this Saturday, Dec. 10, from 11 AM to 6 PM. The Bronx Museum of the Arts is located at 1040 Grand Concourse in the Bronx, 10456. We are also so grateful for the continuous support of Stephen Daniello, the Share (Cher) Chef extraordinaire and his team of advisors including DJs Ian Ford and Susan Levine, entertainers Tym Moss and Aaron Paul, and a vision-to-behold Yuhua Hamasaki.

The night's proceeds will benefit four amazing CBOs with which CHULO works: BAAD, the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, a dance and theatre program servicing the Bronx for over 15 years; Tropical Images’  Get Kids Off The Street Project, an after-school and weekend dance program in Sunset Park, Brooklyn): UPROSE, Brooklyn’s oldest Latino social service agency and NY's first climate justice youth program; and, the Arts Program and Drop-In Center for Homeless LGBT Youth at the Church of St. Luke in the Fields in the West Village.
